Configuring VDC Backup Job

First login cloud director and click more an choose vDC Backup

Then a dashboard will appear for the backup view then click job and click +Create

Job Setting Input Job Name & Description

Virtual Machines click +Add 

Choose which VM or vApp to be backup, below example is to backup vApp windows-server

Below is the result, you can see the vApp being backup

For Guest Procesing you can leave it as it is, and click next

• Application-aware processing You can create transactionally consistent backups and replicas of VMs that run Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Database. The transactionally consistent backup guarantees proper recovery of these applications without data loss.
• VM guest file system indexing You can set up the backup job to create a catalog of files and folders on the VM guest OS. The catalog lets you search for VM guest OS files and 1-click restore in Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager.
• You can neither choose the option and just click next.

Job schedule, can be adjusted to your needs and click next

Email Notification, Enter the email that will be used to receive notifications

After the job is finished, it will appear on this screen
