How To Revert Snapshot

About

In this case, usually happened when after VM have some changes either update OS/Apps version or bug fix, and resulting broken or not working, you can restore the VM to the state before the VM was snapshot.

Preparation

  • Login to Cloud Director
  • You have snapshot on VM

Guide

1. Select the virtual machine menu on the left. Click the three dots on the VM that has been in the snapshot. Select the snapshot menu then click revert to snapshot.

2. After clicking revert to snapshot a pop up will appear as follows then click revert

3. To see the status of the revert has been completed or can not be seen in the status of the task menu.

note: after the VM is finished reverting to a snapshot then the VM is in a state of death and must be turned on again.
at this step the vm has been successfully reverted to snapshot or back to the initial vm before the snapsot was done
