VM Template is master of copy image of VM that includes VM disks, virtual devices, and settings. Password is part of the settings. To ensure each VM created from template has different password from other VMs, you can set your own password once VM is created. This article will show you how to find the setting and guide you through it.

Preparation

Before using this guide, you must ensure:

• You have deployed VM using Template from Public Catalog. Else, you can find how to Deploy Virtual Machine using VM Template

Guide

1. The first step is to select Virtual Machine > Details.

2. Next, select Guest OS Customization. 

3. Click edit. 

4. Check Allow local administrator password and Auto generate password then the password will appear in Specify password.
