About
VM resources can be change anytime. This resources included CPU, RAM and Disk. If your VM run out of CPU, you can upgrade number of CPU on VM. It apply also for RAM and Disk. By the time you want to reduce number of CPU, then you can also downgrade it. Please be aware, upgrading resources can be anytime without downtime. However, you must power off VM first before downgrading resource.
This article will explain you how to resize resources such a CPU RAM and Disk in VM.
Preparation
Before proceed to using this guide, you must ensure:
- You have deployed resize your VDC resources. Else, you can follow this Resizing Virtual Data Center Resources guide.
Guide
1. Proceed to Resizing Virtual Data Center Resources
2. Once VDC has been resized. You can resize resource VM by select Virtual Machines > Details.
3. Select Compute, if you wanto resize CPU or RAM
4. Click Edit for change CPU.
5. Upgrade or Downgrade CPU as per your requirement, click Save.
6. Click Edit for change Memory.
7. Upgrade or Downgrade Memory as per your requirement, click Save.
8. Select Hard Disks.
9. Click Edit for change Storage.
10. Edit the size as needed and select ioSTOR according to the order then click Save.
